[ BACKGROUND ]

Filip builds the connections between AI assistants and the systems regulated firms already run on. He wrote Oktopeak's open-source Clio MCP connector, published on npm and listed on Anthropic's official MCP Registry. It gives Claude scoped read and write access to a law firm's practice management data, with append-only audit logging aligned to ABA Formal Opinion 512.

His work sits at the point where integration stops being a technical question and becomes a confidentiality one. Scoped OAuth so an assistant can only reach what it should. Credentials encrypted in the operating system keychain rather than sitting in a config file. A record of every action taken against client data, written in a form a bar association would accept.

When a firm asks whether an AI tool can safely touch privileged material, that question gets answered in the connector rather than on a sales call. Filip is the person who has to make the answer true.
